- Counsellor - Indiv, Couples and Families
Graeme has 18 years experience of working as a Counsellor with Individuals, Couples, Families and young people over 11.
I offer counselling in a confidential, non-judgmental, safe and friendly environment, working according to the Ethical Framework of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have worked with a wide range of issues in a variety of settings including Sure Start and busy GP Practices as a counsellor and mental health practitioner.
I am also one of the few therapists in the North East to be trained by the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships to deliver the Couple Therapy For Depression Programme
At the heart of my practice lies a passionate belief that although we all experience great pain and distress in our lives, we all have the ability to heal and grow through this pain and find more enriching, creative and satisfying lives. I work in a variety of ways to help people either resolve or live with their life problems more effectively. I don’t do a “one size fits all” treatment path, but seek to listen and pay attention to what it is, that is most effective for a client or clients right now (which might change over time).
