Biography

Nina is the assistant manager to the Jesmond Therapy Centre team.

Nina started out her career in law after completing an undergraduate degree in Sociology followed by a two year diploma law conversion course at the University of Northumbria. Having trained and practised as a solicitor at a national law firm located on the Quayside in Newcastle, Nina’s interest in counselling and holistic therapies grew, and she decided to change direction and is now embarking on a new career in talking therapies.

Nina works at the Centre full- time and has almost completed the two year part-time Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling course at York St John University where she is thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to gain a wide variety of new skills and knowledge which complement her role at the Centre. Nina has also successfully completed the Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates in Counselling and is First Aid at Work trained. 

Nina joined Jesmond Therapy Centre in October 2017 and is involved in various duties such as meeting and greetings counsellors, therapists and clients, managing therapist and staff policies and procedures, producing a variety of marketing material and researching and contacting a number of leads for potential business development.  At present, she is also responsible for supporting the invoicing process, assisting with the delivery of the annual training programme at the Centre and regularly attending events to promote the Centre.

Nina really enjoys working at Jesmond Therapy Centre – it is a welcoming and relaxing place, which offers a great work environment. She works with a fantastic set of talented people who offer a caring service aimed at supporting the well-being of our community.
