What is Talking Therapy?
Talking therapy involves talking to a trained professional in confidence, about issues or problems that you may be facing in your life which may be affecting your mental and emotional wellbeing. It is designed to give you a safe time and place to talk through your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to help you make sense of things and understand yourself better. Talking Therapy may help you resolve complicated feelings or find ways to live with them or help you recognise unhelpful patterns in the way you think or act and find ways to change them (if you want to).
Talking therapy can help you manage and cope with a range of issues including difficult life events or emotions, relationship problems, upsetting or traumatic experiences, stress, depression, anxiety, long term health issues and other mental health problems.
We offer short, medium and long term therapy. Most talking therapy sessions are face to face and take place once per week, each session lasting for 50 minutes.

What Talking Therapy services does Jesmond Therapy Centre offer?
